Penetrant Testing (PT)
This involves applying a coloring or fluorescent penetrant liquid evenly to the surface of the pipeline. The liquid seeps into surface-opening defects through capillary action. After removing the excess penetrant, a developer is applied to draw out the penetrant, revealing surface defects and identifying opening defects.
