| Radiographic Testing (RT) | This method detects defects in the inspected object by utilizing the different attenuation of X-rays or gamma rays as they penetrate various parts of the object. |
| Ultrasonic Testing (UT) | Ultrasonic testing uses the ability of ultrasonic waves to penetrate deep into metal materials and reflect at interfaces to detect defects in parts. When the ultrasonic beam passes from the surface of the part through the probe into the metal interior, it encounters defects and the bottom of the part, generating reflected waves. These waves form pulse waveforms on the fluorescent screen, which are used to determine the location and size of defects. |
| Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) | This method is used to detect surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. When the workpiece is magnetized, if there are defects on the surface, the increased magnetic reluctance at the defect site causes leakage of the magnetic field, forming a local magnetic field that attracts magnetic particles to reveal the shape and location of the defect. |
| Penetrant Testing (PT) | The basic principle of penetrant testing is to use capillary action to allow penetrant liquid to seep into defects. After cleaning the surface penetrant, the residual penetrant in the defect is drawn out using a developer to achieve the purpose of inspecting defects. |
